What to expect
Under the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service our pharmacist can initiate or continue the combined pill and the progestogen-only pill, without you needing to see a GP.
We take a short medical history, check your blood pressure and weight where relevant, and supply your contraception directly. Follow-up and ongoing supply are arranged with you.
