What to expect
Chickenpox is usually mild in children but can be far more serious in adults, in pregnancy and in anyone with a weakened immune system. The varicella vaccine is not part of the routine NHS childhood schedule in the UK, so we offer it privately.
Protection requires two doses, given four to eight weeks apart. We book both appointments at the same time so the course is never left incomplete.
